Default Redness & Blemish Control for Rosacea - Crystal Skin -

www.crystalskin.net (in the UK but you can get product in the USA)

THIS IS THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CREAM FROM THE WEBSITE

    ................................................
'Redness & Blemish Control for Rosacea'

    Natural Ingredients

Dromaius Oil (Emu Oil), Borage Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Tea Tree Oil, White Willow Bark extract, Arnica, Camomile, Marigold, Burdock, Aloe Vera, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Vitamin E and Green Tea.

However, the formulation for 'Redness & Blemish Control', which is most suitable for Rosacea sufferers, has EXACTLY the same natural ingredients but different amounts. If that's you, you need a gentler cream, so the amount of healing oils have been increased. Please contact us if you have any doubts about which cream you should puchase.

Although you may experience a little flaring of the skin in the first 7 days, this is perfectly natural as this is the infection coming out of your pores. Therefore, please keep on applying the cream for the full period of time to experience the best results. You should begin to see significant clearing before 30 days has elapsed.

    .................................................. ...........

I got this cream on Monday and tried it straight away as you do. For the first few days 2/3 there was some flaring of the skin but as rosacea sufferers know well you get flaring with rosacea anyway. I was determined to keep it up. I can't believe how much better my skin is even after 5 days. I have had no nasty bumps come up, the old ones are gone and the redness is going. My skin feels more comfortable and I can eat hot things without burning and flushing. My nose does not swell anymore or feel on fire and I get a good night's sleep. I can't wait to see what it is like after another week.

Do not be put off about camphor or eucalyptus being in the cream. You must get through the first few days of flaring. Skin does feel a bit dry but as a new customer you get a free bottle of Emu oil which counteracts the dry areas. My skin feels cool and comfortable for the first time. I have had no burning/stinging flare ups over the last two days.

I think this product is very similar to the demodex solutions one but as this was easy to obtain the UK I opted for that. I might try the demodex one later now I know that this works for me.

I checked out their website, it almost sounds too good to be true, -- but with their "iron-clad money back guarentee" what have you got to lose but your rosacea and or acne?? -- keep us up to speed on your progress using their cream..

What worries me is the anonyminity of the two scientlists who were responsible for producing the formulation

All the site says about them is this:

Two scientists in her hometown, who were specialists in developing treatments for skin difficulties, had heard of Nettie’s company and the success she was having with Emu Oil. Literally one night they knocked on her door and introduced themselves and that was the start of a beautiful friendship! The special formula of ingredients and the Emu Oil, came together to produce Blemish Control Cream (for Acne) and Redness & Blemish Control Cream (for Rosacea).
Your'd think it would have their names and qualifications. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

As I've said in a previous thread, this is the UK supplier of the US Purple Emu Anti-Red cream:

    http://forum.rosaceagroup.org/viewtopic.php?t=1692

I used it to good effect when weaning myself off topical steroid creams, and I was very happy too when I first started using it. I continue to use it today. I don't think it's the be all and end all - it definitely helped me skin enormously, but my skin has never entirely cleared up. For example although it helps with redness and blemishes, it does little for my sebderm. I'm undecided whether to continue using it after my current supply runs out... I definitly think it is worth a try though for people who don't have either sebderm but do have the rosacea sub-type that includes P&Ps.

I had a similar exp. w/Perricone products a year or so ago and regrettably posted on the old forum because it was amazing at first, triggers didn't make me flush, skin was clear, but for some reason it backfired after a couple of months, maybe it was stripping the skin. Not to say the Emu product is like that, just sharing an experience and also wonder if the same thing is going to happen w/the latest experiment - has anyone tried the Blue Sage Naturals sea buckthorn products? Have been using the soap and Serious Salve and it's really helped w/the sebum, p&P and redness, although I've been still flushing lately from trigggers but think that's due to stress. Also, I was using the salve 2x and you're only supposed to 1x/day so am now getting a bit dry, but will just back off for a few days, use the old Cutanix, and then try again.

Please keep us posted on the Emu products long term.

Same here, the Perricone line is what pushed me from a Pre-Rosacea to last stage Rosacea! Took about 6 weeks before my skin degraded to a state it had NEVER been in before! I had no clue it was Rosacea, and used the products a little longer, because they were so expensive. I finally realized my skin wasn't going to adjust and stopped using the stuff. It took me 2 years to get back to almost Pre-Rosacea stage. I'm there most of the time, but I would urge Rosacea suffers to stay away from the Perricone line.

Evy, can you tell me how you got back to pre-rosacea after Perricone? I was completely clear but after four days of using Perricone six months ago am in stage three. Every day is tough, and I really hope to get my skin/face back. Would love to hear how you did it.
