Default My skin care regimen, yours

    Hi guys,

I dont really think Ill try more skin care products but you never know if others have found something good for them.

    I use
Olay foaming cleanser for sensitive skin
    Ocosoft eyelid scrub solution
Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for sensitive skin (on-off, rarely)
Cetaphil cleansing bar for sensitive skin (not tried much, but definitely a gentle product)

    Ive tried and ditched:
    Biotherm Anti-redness Concentrate
    La Roche Posay Toleriane cream
    La Rocje Posay Dermocleanser
    Complex 15
Roc Enydrial (not that bad, but I got a delayed reaction)
Heather Lorraine (not that bad, but gave a delayed reaction as well)
Avene Diroseal (extremely irritative, the worst reaction ever)
Neova anti-redness serum (quite irritative, perhaps its the green tea?)
    Vanicream

I have samples never tried of
    Replenix RF cream
    Citrix sunscreen
    Clinique Citiblock 25

I sense the Clinique Citiblock is the one I have to worry least about while the other two more liquid formulations are more worrisome for someone with moderate rosacea we just need a thin layer of a thick gentle cream

WELL WHATS YOUR REGIMEN, YOUR BAD EXPERIENCES AND FUTURE PLANS???

    Default What works database...

I have made a database of what works for rosaceans at this url >

    http://tinyurl.com/4nx2y

You should copy and paste your regimen and upload it to the database so that others can read it. I hope eventually that this database proves popular. thanks.

I use either Olay's Foaming Face Wash for sensitive skin or
Neutrogena's Sensitve Skin Solutions for oily skin and a
sunscreen w/ an SPF of 50.

I only recently started wearing sunscreen. It makes me breakout.

Ive been using RosaceaCares products. The cleanser, followed by noritate, then Roasacea Cares moisturizer. Of course letting my face settle after each one..then when I get to work..or about 40 min after putting the moisturizer on..I put RC's sunscreen on.

I finally settled on those RC products after trying just about everything. I think there might be something better out there..but Im sure everyone can relate to getting tired of spending the money and trying all these different products out.

One Id like to try is some of the Cutanex prodcuts.

    Default Noritate

I wash with Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion because the Cetaphil Bar dries up my skin and makes it sting. I use Cetaphil Moisture/SPF 15 in the mornings only. At night, I use Differen and Noritate, the former on beneath the latter. I spot treat with BenzaClin but I think its irritating my spots of which I have a lot more of due probably to Noritate. I'm stopping Noritate tonight and only using it for my nose. It's not helping the flushing anyway and it really is making me break out bad.

I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen. Have been for a few years, stopped, began again but it doesnt seem to be affecting my acne or whatever the hell it is.

Doxy doesn't seem to be keeping my bumps at bay either (100mg twice a day).

Nothing seems to be helping! : (

Not even all the fruits I've been eating/veggies/water I've been drinking.

I think some dark chocolate pieces even made me break out too.
I don't want to live with it. I refuse to.

Face wash: Oil of Olay cleanser for sensitive skin
Moisturizer: Dr. Haushcka's Rose Day Cream, sometimes when I'm extra dry I will use olive oil at night. Works like a charm.
    Prescription: Metrolotion
    Supplements: Pycno/gse combo tablet
Sunscreen: Clinique City Block SPF 25 tinted (don't use this daily)

    Will try in the future:
Adding more supplements like fish oil, ester-c maybe...
    Cutanix
    Rosacea Ltd III

Things seem to be working ok for now so I don't want to do too much more, except maybe add the fish oil.

Oh, and I want to buy some dead sea salts and use them to make a solution to splash my face with daily. Each time I am in ocean water my skin seems to be dramatically better...

My current skin care regimen is as little as possible. I wash with Olay Sensitive cleanser every 12-24 hours. When the seb derm is not flaring I try not to wash too much, when the seb derm is flaring I have to wash (a problem as it keeps the underlying rosacea alive). Ive come to conclusion that skin care product destroy my epidermis indirectly by triggering underlying rosacea.
Perhaps Ill look into water sprays, just dont know whats in them yet... sense its not just water :?
