    Default doxycycline

The GP I saw today has given me 100mg of these tabs, with me presenting symtoms of neck/face/back/chest flushing and painful watery stinging eyes. However from reading, it looks like the drug is used for treting the pustules, e.t.c. She also said if i dont see results in 50 days comeback, this does not seem like long to me. Any advice?

    Lyc,
Doxy is supposed to be moderately good for inflamation reduction, which may (or may not) facilitate a minimal reduction in flushing and redness.

That said, sounds like you may have another condition to consider. The name escapes me right now, but I think it starts with an E. I sound foolish, but then again, I am no doctor!

    Best,
    Trey

Erythema just means abnormal redness of the skin; it's not a disease. I take 25 mg. twice a day doxy for the p&p. Very good for that, but it hasn't done a thing to stop the flushing. I don't think it is really expected to do that.
