Is there even hope for laser damage?

My rosacea is a result of damage for IPL and has completely destroyed my life. I haven't left the house since the treatment in July apart from dermatologist appointments. It is agony physically and emotionally.


Is this just my life forever? Has anybody rectified rosacea caused by laser? I don't want to even be alive anymore,my whole life has been thefted from me. No work, no college, no socialising. Just misery.

Yes, there is hope. Just keep trying things. Hydroxychloroquine, mirtazapine, and intermittent fasting (i.e. not eating after 6pm each day until breakfast the next morning) have helped me the most, but I've tried several things to find something that works. I'm currently trying LDN and next on the list might be doxycycline or low-dose accutane. Everyone is different, so you never know what will work for you until you try it.
It's really frustrating, but I have to say I've had significant improvement since the onset of my bad flushing (after a series of IPL) in May 2019.

I'm on ldn now but it doesn't work for me. I really hope it works for you because I know that for others It's like a miracle! Do u want to add those meds or start taking them instead of what u take now?

Thanks, I'm crossing my fingers with the LDN!
I am planning on staying on the mirtazapine and hydroxychloroquine indefinitely and I'm adding meds to see if I can increase my results. The mirt. and hydroxy. together have given me about 40-50% improvement. It's made a huge difference in my life, but there is definitely room for more improvement. Like you, I was unable to work or socialize at one point. I've gotten to the point where I have my life back, but dealing with flushing is still a struggle. I'm hopeful that I can get to more like 80% improvement eventually. Of course, the dream is to just be rid of this flushing completely- I've accepted that that might not be possible, but I'm going to try for it.

I think the skin's protective barrier has been breached / damaged and that is why it is so. That's why the skin is hypersensitive and turns red and you feel pain for no reason.

I've found both Dermalogica Barrier Repair and Zhongzhou cream can help with IPL and laser damage.
