    Default An update from me!

I just wanted to take a moment to give hope to others with this awful disease.

Having been diagnosed with rosacea and then ocular rosacea in 2002, I spent day after day, month after month and year after year searching for a glimmer of hope.

Visits to a well-known rosacea specialist, left me out of pocket but no better off!
I finally diagnosed myself with neuropathic rosacea (as the awful unrelenting pain with or without flushing) and swelling seemed to resonate with me.

I tried expensive IPL, blood pressure meds. Red light treatment. but nothing worked for very long; I became reclusive, anti-social and had to give up so much that I loved (even exercise caused me pain).

Then trawling through the posts on this amazing forum, I came across LDN, supported by some wonderful people on here, I finally settled on sublingual drops of LDN taken nightly.

To say that LDN has been a miracle drug for me is an understatement, I have been on it just over 2 years and have never needed more than 2.5 mg (currently reduced to 2 mg).
My nerve pain had gone and my flushing reduced to 99%, I do flush from a sneaky glass of wine, but no pain, my ocular rosacea is so much better too (no flushing no eye pain!!).

I read many stories on here, from people suicidal (yes, I have been there too) people in physical and mental torment, searching for a cure, for answers, for help...........I just wanted to say 'please it is never too late to find peace from this dreadful
    disease'.

I don't visit as often as I used to (that's normal when you find that you are getting your life back), however, I just wanted to tell my story of hope.

It may have taken me 16 years, but I got there, I am hope 'the man upstairs' helps all of you who have yet to find relief from the hell of rosacea!

    Judy,
It is so kind of you to take the time to write. I am thrilled that you are so busy living your life again. That is what everybody on this forum wants. Do you think the sublingual drops are better than the tablets?
