What is hypochlorous acid?
"In a recent study, a saline hygiene solution preserved with pure hypochlorous acid was shown to reduce the bacterial load significantly without altering the diversity of bacterial species on the eyelids. After 20 minutes of treatment, there was >99% reduction of the Staphylococci bacteria."

NovaBay CelleRx? Clinical Reset is apparently a re-branding of overpriced prescription NovaBay Avenova Spray as a facial cleanser. They are selling it for $54.00 per 1.36 oz bottle. Very overpriced. Hypochlorous acid spray is an excellent product for support in controlling demodex and it is anti-bacterial - just be careful how much you pay for it.

CelleRx? Clinical Reset information page doesn't state the percentage strength of the Hypochlorous acid on the bottle - claims its "Pure" and not made with bleach.

Avenova Spray is 0.01% Hypochlorous Acid.
Heyedrate Spray is 0.015% Hypochlorous Acid.
Occusoft Hypochlor Spray is 0.02% Hypochlorous Acid.

The human body makes Hypocholorous acid in response to injuries such as scrapes. Its antibacterial and also kills demodex in the nymph stage (after they hatch but before they start breeding). Hypocholorous acid eyelid spray is excellent in addtion to other demodex treatment.

NovaBay Pharmaceuticals makes the horrifically expensive prescription Avenova Spray. Its "prescription grade" hypocholorous acid eyelid spray. Current price on GoodRX shows pharmacies selling it for $363 retail per 1oz. bottle per month. Originally, the price was in the $600 range per 1 oz per month. There was no need for this to be a prescription drug except to jack the price up. Avenova claimed that it was no good after 1 month and you needed to buy more. Over the counter Heyedrate states that their spray is good for 4 months after opening. Needless to say, Insurance Companies started refusing to pay for Avenova after much cheaper over the counter versions like Heydrate ($19.95 per 1 oz or $34.95 per 2 oz.) and Occusoft Hypochlor ($19.47 per 2 oz) came on the market. The over the counter versions were just as good and stronger than the original Avenova spray. They were also cheaper than the Insurance copay for Avenova.

You can now buy the original Avenova spray for $29.99 per ounce on Amazon.
