    Default Seb derm or not

I got this skin rash the 4th August, long time for 10 years derm told me seb derm, but any of them perhaps rosacea cause flat red bump on forehead.
I try to control the flat red bump with metronidazole cream follow by avene tolerance extreme fluid.
And sometimes on my temples got pinkness and redness ( 1 times all the 2 years)
I try also isotretinoin with low dose during those 10 years with mild succes.
At the end of course (3 months) of isotretinoin I got a skin rash on the temples, I have to put costicosteroids very light desonide locapred during 15/20 days at night and the morning clean it to put avene tolerance extr?me fluid to hydrate.
And the redness go away and heal.
But the 4th August I got this skin rash

I post pictures from me at the 4th August and now.

I am not a physician so I can't diagnose your condition. I have had two physicians tell me I have rosacea on my face and SD on my forehead/scalp. My last dermatologist said I also have folliculitis on the back of my scalp. A nurse practitioner also said I had folliculitis on the back of my scalp. My current dermatologist asked me if I have ever tried Azelaic Acid which I have never tried it. She gave me a Rx for the generic gel and for Finacea 15% foam. I have used up one tube of the generic gel 15% and started on the fiancea for about a week now. It definitely has helped the folliculitis and it has improved the SD/rosacea. I will continue using it and update my photos on my rosacea blog (free for RRDi members). You can view today's photos by clicking on my blog in my signature. Have you tried azeliac acid topical?

No I never use azelaic acid.
I use only tom busby shampoo and lotion.
But azelaic acid (finacea) is used for acne rosacea and seb derm?
Cause my problem seems to be Malassezia (seb derm)

That was basically my question to my new dermatologist. Her reply was 'all three (rosacea/SD;folliculitis) are probably related' and handed me a prescription for azelaic acid gel and foam to try both. Since I had never tried it I agreed. The generic is cheaper than the brand name Finacea. But you can tell that the foam seems to work better (something to do with the bubbles). Anyway, I am trying azelaic acid to see if it helps and so far it appears to be working. Most treatments for rosacea take three months for clearance. Doesn't cure it but it controls the issue and it usually comes back and that is why we are in the forum and why we are supporting each other. There are many other treatments for rosacea (over the counter). After you have tried the standard treatments there are some other treatments for rosacea when a rosacea case is intractable.

    Yes I understand
But if it's only seb derm azelaic acid should work?
    Azelaic acid foam what brand?
With azelaic acid foam I have to foam it on the shower and rinse it after?
Cause I know only finacea galderma.
    But never try it

Azaleic acid is a strong topic don't want to make a mistake.
Cause on my temples the derm told me it's seb derm Malassezia
If it's rosacea there is ivermectine too soolantra, I try it during 10 days long time ago cause I got the same problem (there was 2 years ago) on temples and only costicosteroids very light during 15 days help me. But soolantra did nothing

You can ask your dermatologist if Azelaic acid will work on SD. My dermatologist told me to try it and so I am trying it. I have SD as well as rosacea and folliculitis. SD and Rosacea can co-exist. A few dermatologists think that SD is a variant of rosacea while others say that SD is a disease Sui generis all on its on (this is the general consensus amongst dermatologists). The brand name foam is Finacea.

There are, however, generic azelaic acid gels available now that are cheaper than Finacea. For example, Sandoz:

Ivermectin Soolantra takes at least three months to four months for clearance, if you have demodectic rosacea. Ten days is simply not enough time to know. Short term costicosteroids are sometimes prescribed for intractable rosacea but long term is not recommended since this can cause steroid rosacea. I too use Tom Busby's shampoo and like it very much.

    Thk you for the reply
Sincerely what do you think about my skin problem
    Mainly on the temples.
I am using Tom busby shampoo and lotion everyday since 37 days now
You have seen my pictures from the 4th August ( when my skin rash start) and you have pictures from last Saturday the 12th September and the day before the 11th September.
All the derm I saw in my life since I got this skin condition by episode they told me seb derm.
On the temples there are not spots, pustules or pimples it's pinkness and near the hairline any pinkness redness flat areas.
On the temples why it could be rosacea?
If it was rosacea I would go for laser but a laser specialist told me not on these area cause it's only seb derm.
I know that two conditions can co exist but tom busby shampoo and lotion treat also demodex in rosacea.
Why these temples areas seems to be long to treat.
Don't use costicosteroids very much and long time, like I said I used them 1 times in 2018 and 1 times this year with very light desonide like locapred and follow by moisturizer the morning after the night.
