I'm not sure if the cosmetic version is formally launched in the UK yet - I got mine on Ebay - I assume it is legitimate! The outer cardboard box of the new one is black rather than gold I think. Because of the Chinese language etc on the packaging it's not as clear the difference as it might be on a normal UK or US product. I don't think the cosmetic version is sold yet on demodex.co.uk, which is the main supplier in the UK.

Thank you! I got mine from the demodex.co.uk this time (first time on Amazon) just hope the issues with China don't stop exports (selfish I know as this virus is awful!),

The hospital told me Lanolin is getting more common due to overuse in cosmetic products. It over time can cause irritation that’s why a lot of dermatologist flag it up as an ingredient to avoid.

Sls in the cosmetic version is a worry aswell. As leaving SLS on the skin over time thins the skin.
That’s why emollients don’t have it in anymore. Hospitals have banned it now and use epimax instead.
As it was thinning already vulnerable patients skin even further making their situation worse over time.

Lanolin is quite a common irritant of skin. That’s why mineral oil is used more in general.
So yes I wish there was more Lanolin free versions. Shame I can’t use it but my skin is so vulnerable I think it would break the barrier down even more .

Using it sparingly and correctly, diluted on your hands with water, should see yout tubs lasting a good few months.
