Because of the RRDi affiliation with Demodex Solutions, we have a more extensive ingredient list for the Original ZZ cream. As far as we know lanolin is not in the original ZZ cream.

Still scared itís gonna dry my skin out more and damage my skin barrier . But I might try just the cream and no moisturiser tonight. Skin has cracked before on my face.
Do you just do maintenance now with zz cream or do you use it still every night ?
My current regimen is just using the original ZZ cream. I wash my face with just water, apply the ZZ cream at night, wash off in am and apply nothing. I have oily skin so I don't need a moisturizer. I also try to stick to my Rosacea Diet but it is difficult to avoid sugar/carbohydrate so I sometimes cheat. So far, no big deal and though my face is ruddy red just about all the time, I keep my rosacea under control. As for the SD, I am just using the ZZ cream for now. I do have some Avar Green but haven't used it in a long time.

ZZ cream came today. after patch testing it seems fine for me to try it. It would be great if it helps with the redness from SD and texture too. I was suprised of the menthol effect and i like that it spreads easily on the skin. Will try it on my whole face probably before applying moisturiser in the pm. Currently I've been slacking with my regime, and drinking alcohol, coffee, eating ****ty food etc. only cleanse with grapeseed oil but this cream arriving I really want to give it a go.

    I will report back!

Yes, this is normal. It fits in with the breeding cycle of the dexmodex mites. I'd expect you to feel less itching/tingling after a month or so if the regime is working for you. But it will be around 2 months before you've really got a complete control on the demodex mite population. Remember to treat your hair.

So do you have a break from the cream?? I thought it was a 3 month course.
I doubt my skin would take this cream for too long as it drys your skin.

    Brady,

So far, no big deal and though my face is ruddy red just about all the time, I keep my rosacea under control.
If your face is ruddy and red, how do you define rosacea?
Surely you mean you manage to keep a component of the syndrome under control? IE, the P&P's?

I expect your baseline redness is collateral damage.
    Previous Numerous IPL.
Supplements: Niacinamide, Vit K2, low D3, Moderate Dose Vit C, Iodine, Taurine, Magnesium. Very low dose B's. Low dose zinc (to correct deficiency).
Skin Care: No Cleanser, ZZ cream mixed with Niacinamide gel 4% and LMW HA.

Treating for gut dysbiosis under specialist care. (This is helping).
Previous GAPS diet. Testing tolerance of resistant starch.
Fermented Foods. 2 to 3 days per week, Intermittent fasting -16-18 hours.

I have always been ruddy red since a boy. Many called me 'Red' and I even had red hair. I have always been sun sensitive and got sun burned many times growing up (one theory on rosacea is it is a result of photo damage). I was diagnosed with rosacea in my thirties, sometime around 1985. I have Phenotype 2 and Phenotype 4. Most of the time I have erythema, but sometimes I have been pale white, but rarely. When I do get some P&Ps the area around them has profoundly more erythema that is quite noticeable. So I suppose you are correct, that I "manage to keep a component of the syndrome under control? IE, the P&P's." Usually eating a load of sugar/carbohydrate causes pimples in my case. The ZZ creams definitely helps prevent P&Ps but if I overload with sugar/carbohydrate the P&Ps still come.

    Default Update!

Coming up to two months of using ZZ cream (just purchased my 2nd tub).

I have been more than happy with the results, use 5 out of 7 nights and often over an oil-based night product (which really helps to reduce dryness).

The face that now looks back at me is pale and although I obviously will never lose those pesky thread veins, they are much paler!

All-in-all a real success for me!
