    Default What distance&exposure time?

For those of you using a hand-held device,
How long and from what distance (to your face) do you use your hand-held device?

I am currently using a Red Light Man (red lamp 670 nm). I use it once a day for 30-50 seconds per area from a distance of 15 cm. Are there people who are actually capable of using it (this one or a smilira device) for more than 3 minutes? If so, what is the distance of the lamp from your face?

    Thanks.

I have a 660nm LED bulb that is 36 watts. I don't know how that translates to energy joules, but I can tell you that in the few days I've had this product, I've been holding it WAY too close to my skin for too long. This morning, after about 10 minutes of use, I looked in the mirror to see that I had new patches of redness formed on one side of my face.

The LED (which is actually a pretty powerful grow light for plants) had irritated my face and caused a worsening. I'm laying off the red light for a while and sticking with green from my LED mask. I actually have this on my face for up to 60 minutes at a time, but then, the power output is low and it's only green (I think it's helping my PIE caused by Mirvaso).

Back to my 660nm red LED; I think, in future, I'll be using it at least at a distance of 80cm from my face and for no longer than 60 seconds on each area of my face, which would be forehead, left side of face and right side of face.

I've noticed after using this bulb, my face feels dry and tight. I don't know if that's a good thing.

I'm recovering from Mirvaso-induced skin damage. Ask me about it if you are too.

Which light are you referring to? Green or red?
