Default Help. ct scan with contrast

    To all you flushers,
Iím due to have a ct abdomen and pelvis with contrast scan. Just reading through the paperwork, it says that I will have a intravenous injection (iodine contrast medium) it shows the blood vessels. It says this injection will make one feel hot and uncomftable. Some patients develop a rash 1 in 100 cases.

Just the words hot and blood vessels are freaking me out.

I donít know if Iím overreacting, but I really donít want to make my flushing worse.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi! I did this exact CT last month. I felt some heat, especially in my private area, but it went away in a few minutes. Rosacea is unaffected by this, nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Ooh thank you so much for responding. All rational thinking goes straight out of the window when you have this darn condition...makes me paranoid.

    Default It will be fine

Another that had a full body CT scan recently. You'll likely be fine. Yes, my skin was more red/ruddy immediately after, but I chalk it up to the Telebrix drink you have to drink beforehand. I drank a ton of water afterwards and was fine the next day.
