    Soolantra + Oracea faster together

Selling you two rosacea prescription rather than one. Sounds like the holy grail for someone with a portfolio of rosacea treatments.
Of course `they’ are Galderma, and some recent publicity around a combination trial suggests that two may well be better than one. So, should you line up for two helpings of Galderma’s rosacea regime? Read on to find out.

I think they do work well together from my experience. However, the problem is the effect of Soolantra does seem to reduce/stop working on demodex mites over time, so Soolantra then effectively becoming a rosacea-compatible moisturiser.

Interesting to understand why Soolantra might become less effective at eliminating demodex over time.

If the main benefit is because of the eradication of the mites (which I'm not sure it is this simple) then the effective kill should continue as long as you use it.

    Rosacea is complicated hey.

The cream is only advised for use for 4 months on the leaflet. I believe it is also not advised to take oral ivermectin on an ongoing basis, though I'd be interested to hear if any rosacea sufferers have tried to do this.

The patient information on this website supports the idea of only using it for up to 4 months, as on the leaflet:
    https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/6819/smpc

I think the moisturising effect is also a benefit for rosacea sufferers (e.g. helping to repair the skin barrier) regardless of the impact on demodex mites.

I wish at the early stages of my rosacea that both medications had been available, because I can imagine the synergy of the two being very helpful with mild or pre-rosacea. It's encouraging that both medications are easily available without having to see a specialist dermatologist to such early stage rosacea sufferers.
