Default Duration between V BEAM treatments

    Hey all,

I'm going to have my second purpuric v beam treatment in 10 days. It will be a little over 3 months since I had my first one. In your expert opinions, is this too long to wait between treatments? I've read some places that this is okay, whereas in other places I've read that you shouldn't wait any longer than a month or so. Thoughts?

I would say that is about the right length of time to wait. You need to give it time to completely heal so you can see what needs to be treated.

To be honest, even after 6 months, I've still had hyperpigmentation on my face that hadn't totally faded.
I'm recovering from Mirvaso-induced skin damage. Ask me about it if you are too.

I couldn't find any research about what treatment interval for Vbeam is best or that addressed the possibility of vasculature growing back between treatments if you wait too long. I looked at physician recommendations and they seem to average around 4 weeks, with some saying 2 weeks is fine if the patient can tolerate it, and some also saying 6 or 8 weeks. With other light-based treatments I've found I get increased flushing for 3-4 weeks, so maybe I'm still healing at that point.

Did you see any noticeable results after your first treatment?

Yes I did. Even more so after my second treatment, though. (LOTS of improvement from that one.) I will likely do one more before taking a break.

It is wonderful news! What setting parameters did your doctor use for your vbeam treatments?

I'm not sure. He basically figured out where I bruised, and then went just below that. I still had some bruising, though it wasn't so bad. Lots of swelling the first few days, though.
