    Default Burning without flushing

Many of you mention here flushing/burning as a typical rosacea symptom. Do you happen to experience as well "only" burning, without being/feeling flushed? And by burning I mean this nasty unpleasant feeling of being constantly sprayed with some acid and yet being pale (or at least not flushed).

Sorry, I actually found some info on the subject in Lizzy's (Laser cat) and Chai's posts about the neurogenic rosacea.

I thought LED light helped you. Did it stop working or level off.

LED helped me with transient flushing. However it can't fix my burning sensations. I blame histamine.

    Hello LC!

I have had rosacea for 16 years; I could never understand why I flushed with no pain at times and then when I was pale I felt that acid-like pain!

    I have neurogenic rosacea.

It is yet another sub-type that is probably the least understood, RLT did not help me, in fact it made my face swell even more, a bit like the computer screen did!

    Hi Judworth,
Yes, I suspect the same condition in my case. I have this lovely combo: hashimoto and acid-like pain on my face while being PALE. I read that LDN helped you. I think I will try this out.
Do you also happen to notice any benefits from your LDN treatment for your thyroid problems?

    Hello Lena

I have hyperthyroidism, although I haven't been on any meds for years, always feel like my body is on 'high alert' waiting to react, the 'fight or flight' mode!

Hormonal changes were also a big trigger for me!!

I haven't had my thyroid tested since I started on LDN, but I did start on a VERY small dose because of my thyroid issues, I am now on 1.5mg and will increase everso slowly.

LDN has been the most effective thing I have tried in 16 years.................I want to kiss this small bottle that is safely tucked away in my fridge!

I wish you all the luck in the world, my advice, go slowly with LDN.

I envy you so much. My doctor said it is out of question to prescribe me LDN for neuropathic pain. He said it is is a dangerous drug and I would need lots of official permissions to have it prescribed.
    It really sucks big time.

Seems really strange that your doctor says it is a dangerous drug?! A few well known television doctors in the UK are saying it is one of the safest drugs out there. Have you tried contacting this clinic in the UK?

    Clinic 158
    Courtney - Medical Receptionist
    Tel: 0141 404 6255
Opening hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday

This is where I get my prescription of LDN from, might be worth contacting them.

    Hello Lena

How crazy!! The maximum dose for LDN is 4.5 mg................my GP wouldn't prescribe it as it is unlicensed but thankfully I too obtain it through Dickinsons Chemist in Glasgow.

The GP's are happy to prescribe 'other' licensed medications that have far worse side effects and are ineffective!

Hope that you can get it sorted my friend!
