    Hi Alba,

Does your daughter grind her teeth? Does she suffer from headaches?

    Default tinnitus

    Hi there.

I actually was diagnosed with tinnitus many years ago (probably 12 years ago)

unfortunately there isn't really a cure for this.
I know they tried oxygen pressure rooms and such....\

The only thing that worked for me was this "anti noise" that was created for me. Pretty much you explain what your ringing sounds like and then they create a sound that covers it up (like a white noise)
they put it on a tape for you (nowadays a cd I'ms ure) and then you walk around with it, you cd player attached to it.

You only have the volume on a certain level so that you can still communicate normally while listening to the "anti-sound"

Eventually I "forgot" about the ringing, as it tought me to not listen to it anymore.

I can't say I'm cured, as the ringing is still there, but I just don't hear it anymore inless I pay attention to it... so it's very close to cured :-)

    Hi Auburn,

No she doesnt grind her teeth and once in a while she will have a headache. she saw an ear specialist about 2 wks ago told her to try taking slo niacin for about 6 months that hopefully it would take the tinitus away. but the problem is she has rosacea and i told her the niacin would make her flush badly. She is just so young to have tinitus. i told her to get a 2nd opinion this dr. she saw didnt have her get any test done. i would think at least a scan of her ear or something.

Thank you Ohsowell07 any information is very welcomed. I will relay your message to her you would think the dr she went to would have told her your information that is why i told her to go to another dr. i found another dr. for her at the University of Miami Medicine a part that specializes on the ear so I pray they can help her.

    Thank you both!

I asked because people who suffer from TMJ disorder experience tinnitus. Other symptoms of TMJ disorder are headaches and jaw/ear discomfort.

    Hello ,

I also have Tinnitus and I got it 1.5 Years ago. I didn't want to believe that there is no alternative and researched. I found Dr. Wilden in Germany. The Laser treatment made my tinnitus go down 70 - 80 % at this point I still have it but it is so much softer . Not sure where you are located but your daughter needs LLLT treatments ....many of them !
for more info feel free to write me at r.dona@mac.com.

    regards

    Dear Riccardo,

Thank you so much! I have emailed you.

I found these websites in reference to the laser: http://www.thorlaser.com/, http://www.thorlaser.com/LLLT/

They mention Gingko Biloba I wonder if this supplement makes rosacea worse? Worth a try if there is a slight change that it can help.

Auburn: You are very kowledgeable, do you know if Gingko makes affects rosacea by making it worse or mabye could even help?

    Thanks All!

    Hi Alba,

Well, the flavonoids in ginkgo are said to improve blood circulation by dilating microcapillaries and this 'may' cause flushing (just like niacin, which also causes blood vessels to expand).

Re: treating tinnitus with ginkgo biloba, this site http://www.tinnitusformula.com/infoc...es_review.aspx has info on clinical studies.

Thanks Auburn, that is what I thought.

Its so unfortunate the ear dr. told her to take slow niacin to which she told him that niacin makes her rosacea worse. and now the other i find that can help gingko can also aggravate her rosacea :-(( Not fare!
