    Default Generic Soolantra soon?

Perrigo just got FDA approval for a generic version of Soolantra. They are still involved in litigation with Galderma, so it's not clear when or if this version would be made available for sale. But this is probably a good sign.

Sorry if this is duplicate info...but I couldn't find this posted anywhere.

Would be amazing considering how expensive this is! I have no medical coverage and it runs me $200 a tube here in Ontario!

Has anyone actually got a Rx for this generic Soolantra from Perrigo?

Generic Soolantra does not exist, and is unlikely to exist for many years to come.

Thanks David for clearing that up. I was wondering why we didn't hear anything further about the Perrigo version.

In Spain you can buy a magistral preparation with ivermectin at the pharmacy. It is cheaper that Soolantra and, although they dont have the same ingredients unless your doctor wants the prescription to be as Soolantra formula, it can be considered the "generic" version.
Guess it not only happens in Spain...

Quite right. In the USA they are called a Compounding Pharmacy. In order to do this a physician has to give the Rx to the compounding pharmacist (not all pharmacists are compounding and you have to search to find one) with the 'recipe' since they simply follow the doctor's prescription. They make it from scratch so whether your dermatologist will write such a Rx is something you can ask. If your physician agrees, you could probably save hundreds of dollars. In Australia they are called compounding pharmacy and I think in other English speaking countries as well.
