    Question meditation techniques

    Do you guys have any suggestions on some effective meditation techniques?

    I have been listening to Sadhguru on YouTube, his talks helped a lot for me to manage stress. The way I see it, my mind, along with the thoughts and feelings it produces, I donít have a say in what kind of thoughts and feelings my mind should produce. Rather than me using my mind, my mind has been using me. How is it I have been alive for so long and didnít realize this? Itís mind boggling.

    The way I see it, the way we live our lives, for sure weíd be stressed. Endless pressure, competition. Skin issues are only minor manifestation of health problems, a way our body yelling at us saying something is wrong. Better address stress before it manifests in more serious illnesses like cancer or other chronic illness. Iíve started meditation and yoga, which are helpful. Or just start with taking 5 minutes, sit quietly without listening to music or thinking about what needs to be done.

    The first clip is one stress management. The second clip is longer, but much more through on why we get stress and where to begin to manage our inner state.

    If you are serious about learning meditation, then you gotta learn it in a focused manner. Google about the following meditation course to see if you are willing to set aside 10 days. I can tell you it is well worth it. Rather than going on vacation, this is the best 10 days you can invest into anything:

    Vipassana Meditation, S. N. Goenka - 10-day course (free of charge, you can donate after the course if you find it helpful) they have locations all over the world, maybe they have one near you.
