    Default Nothing works

Hey everyone. I'm just posting because I feel so at my wits end. I've only been dealing with this for about four months, but it's gothen so dramatically worse over the past two. I've been to two different derms. I'm currently on topical clindamycin and sulfur. I'm also waiting to see a specialist for laser. But I've been through many different treatmen's and my skin just seems to get more swollen red and broken out with horrible orange peel texture everywhere. I'm in a wedding in 3 months and if I look like this I don't think I can do it. Every day I basically have an anxiety attack looking in the mirror. It seems like every time I think I'm making progress it gets worse the next day. I don't know how to handle this as ibe never had to deal with skin issues before and I've always been confident. Now I absolutely hate even going in public. I hope this gets better some day but right now it feels hopeless.

    Default Hello

I completely understand. I'm also at my wits end and have practically given up. 10 years battling this now and still the same all these years on.
People think I'm making a fuss when I tell them how depressing this condition is. But it seriously IS depressing, huh !!? *hugs*

But even then I struggle with dealing with it. Your not alone!
It sucks hard but wtf can we do?
Just keep ur head up and pray for something good to come your way

I'm feeling the very same way lately. Mine likes to cycle with my hormones so it's totally up and down all the time. I've suffered for almost 6 years now. Things work for a short period then stop.

    I want a miracle.

My fellow rosaceans. If you read through the hundreds of posts in RF you will find that there are some regimens posted here that work. There aren't any one treatment fits all regimens and basically most say they have their rosacea under control. Very few say rosacea has gone into remission, but then again a few do actually report this. There is hope. You really need to think positive and if you are not able to do this then seek professional help for your emotional stability and for positive reinforcement. Many have reported taking antidepressants for rosacea. You really need to have hope that you will find a way to control your rosacea. Others have done it and you can too. Obviously what you are currently using to treat rosacea isn't working, so keep searching, keep asking, and don't give up. You will find your particular treatment regimen if you keep at it and not give up.

RF has 25,013 Threads and 195,945 Posts and I doubt if you have spent that many hours searching through and finding the ones that report they have their rosacea under control based upon the number of posts each of you have added to this forum. Take the time and keep searching.

OP, have you ever tried any b-blockers? Propranolol for example fits to me, because it takes some of the flushing away but also helps my with stress.

Great advise from Brady. It's very depressing indeed, it is tiring, it affects every aspect of our lives But you need to find ways to keep trying new things. Try to keep taking it one day at a time. If depression and anxiety become too much to bare, then know that you are also not alone in that. Many here suffer from those things, as a result of our stupid skin condition. Antidepressants can really make this struggle a bit less dire then. Don't hesitate to ask for help in whatever way you can find it.
