Default Finally ACTUALLY trying a really low carb diet

I have said in previous posts about trying out very low sugar, low carb diets but never gave them the full 30 days like Brady says (who I admire greatly on here) I always give up. This time I am motivated by really wanting to grow in life, start a family and in my job. My ocular rosacea is SO resistant. It has responded to tea tree oil but not fully. If I eat to much carbs or starch, it will flare. SO, I am going to see if maybe one day I can move and live my dreams as long as I am eating low carb? Maybe it won't work but I have never given it any real effort.

Thanks for any encouragement and for reading. Those who have been on here a while and have read previous posts know my ocular/flushing struggles!

    Faith,

Keep the faith and you can do it. After the thirty days, then gorge yourself with all those carbohydrate delights and see if your rosacea returns. Then you can decide if eating high carbohydrate is worth it or whether eating low carbohydrate is worth it. It is your choice to choose what you eat and the consequences you simply live with it.

Please update us on your 30 days.

    Day #2

Very low carb day. Eyes/face were mostly calm. My facial rosacea (for me) is easily calmed but my subtype 4 (ocular) is insanely CHRONIC. If this 30-60 day diet kicks it, or at least gives me relief I'll be amazed!

    Default Day #5

My skin is smooth and calm. My nose got a tiny bit red in my hot car yesterday but subsided quickly. My boyfriend commented this morning "your face is looking very good and tighter"
I'm being very strict this time. I even have more energy and is not hard to wake up in the morning. My eyelid swelling has gone down.

I have included 2 probiotics daily.

And these results are with five days. It usually takes 30 days or even longer to get good results. Hang in there and don't give up.

My face and skin are still calm! I have been a bit dizzy though. It's not from not eating but maybe I'm thinking candida is dying? Anyway, it's been interesting

Hi Faith good luck with the regimen and thanks for the updates.
Hope you'll get relief of course.

Today was pretty good, my eyes a bit dry but no rosacea like flares. Definitely working for my skin. Really hoping this clears up my eyes. Still taking 40mg doxy.
