    Default UK Antibiotics

I've got a question for UK contributors - has anyone managed to get their GP to prescribe antibiotics for digestive issues relating to rosacea? I've suffered from diarrhoea consistently since developing rosacea and don't believe it's a coincidence (having suffered from constipation my whole life before this, even as a baby). My GP dismissed the idea of treating me with antibiotics about 2 years ago and I've not pursued it since. Diet has not improved it significantly (dairy and gluten free for 8 months, avoiding food high in histamine, reduced sugar etc...). I have type 1 (flushing, permanent redness and viable capillaries) and take clonidine, propranolol and mitazipine.

I can't answer your question, but I do have a suggestion.

You might consider contacting the Taymount Clinic as they provide enema FMT's for patients with gut dysbiosis. It is run by a scientist and in more recent years, he has received a lot of interest from specialists.
It is possible that someone at the clinic could advise you of physicians who are willing to prescribe Rifaximin and/or other appropriate antibiotics.
