I'm not a specialist but I'd bet it won't "go away" like it is FOREVER....

BUT, you can hold it back to a point it's unnoticeable. Not meaning you're cured, sorry, but looking like you have absolutely nothing. And it does not have to be THAT cyclic. It actually could stay unnoticeable for years. Mine disappeared for nearly a year when my rosacea first started. Now it comes back somedays but it's barely noticeable.

(for your record, I use Cicalfate, which is a french brand. My dermatologists all said it's sh** and have no to bad effet. But what do you want, it seems to work. Maybe it is placebo, but it actually worked for a pretty bunch of french forumers. This, often coupled with an antimycosic, which is generaly "mycoster", an OTC product, for an usage of every evening, before bed whith cicalfate, everywhere I had plaques, and just nose and eyebrows once a day (in the morning) with mycoster. At least, it's quite good on me, fixed everything for a whole year, and now I kind of "maintenance").

Oh, and what seemed to help for a time was vitamin B6, but I did the only course like one month before developping rosacea so that I always thought it could be a culprit.

I would end saying that in many of us folks seb derm seems to be indeed pretty much linked to stress. As they all say. But by stress i don't just mean this abstract bouc emissaire. I'm referring to a central nervous breakdown. Anyway, afterall I don't think the cause is the same for everybody. But when your sebderm is not that ****ed up, maybe it's meaning there is just something to fix in your way of life, or a trick that can help you like a "soupape" (does this word even exist in english ?). For instance, I might sound crippy, but what I found helped me quite good is, first working to get a better understanding of my nervous central stress. When I feel I'm quite excited or stressed out, I focus on my respiration, very many times a day (like between 10 - 15 or more; or less when i'm cool), trying to inspire with the upper part of the body, profoundly and slowly. Maybe placebo again but i'm quite sure it does work.

And just one LAST thing. KEEP COOL MAN. Sometimes life's a sh** but you WILL have some days you like your skin again ;)

    Default I forgot

Oh, and when I say I'm not a specialist, I still had this for 10 years. It began (begun ? LOL) when I was 15. I'm going to pass 26 next week or so.

Plus, the more you think about it, the more itchy it is. When it is itchy, DON'T SCRATCH yourself. Take a deep breath, and FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE. One itch, is two weeks more of the inflammation. Drink tons of water, I exercise twice a day for like 10 min, sometime less, but it's better to stay shapy (lol). and take the sun when you can, but try not to expose your face directly to the sun, cause then you will know what rosacea is. I actually "cured" myself with too much sun, and it might also be a rosacea BIG culprit, when it is misused.
