Had 2nd treatment about 2 weeks ago (let me note that this means I've had 4 bruising cynergy, 1 non-bruising cynergy and 2 non-bruising vbeam perfecta treatments now) and.. meh.

Maybe I need more - the therapist said 8 is the aim with the perfecta and that as we go through more treatments she'll start zooming in on individual veins with high power - but I can't help but feel I'm wasting my time. I am trying to appreciate that my cheeks are a lot better than before, but they are still red and I flush really bad. The redness/veins on my forehead are so bloody resistant! Seriously don't know how they haven't gone for good - especially as I've had 4 bruising on them.

To be fair the skin near my ear which used to be beetroot/purple is no longer that colour (just red..) and I haven't yet noticed my cheeks going really red or purple in the cold we've had recently - and in the mornings/at random times the skin can be really pale but I'm still miserable. As I've been losing more weight my attention has just been drawn to my cheeks even more. And as I feel down I am finding it hard to stop smoking (I have long wondered whether this could be making things worse/veins to reappear or be resistant). My friends never notice my cheeks but it's always on my mind.

Whilst I am able to fund the treatment I suppose I will - things haven't got worse as such. If I get to the 4th/5th and things aren't looking any better I'm throwing the towel in. My therapist has been using I believe 6 joules and I will be requesting that this goes up for next treatment.

Isn't it funny though - loads of clinics around the world post amazing before and after pics on their websites (which often look like 2 different people/the camera angle is different etc.) and yet I haven't seen a single story on any forum of someone who has been able to get their redness down to that of the level shown in these pics....

Wishing everyone the best, stay strong!

Mate Lasers are the biggest let down of all time .

Nothing has changed in the last 15 years . No laser on earth can rid you of KPRF/Rosacea .

I am now in complete agreement with you Dave.

So that's 3 perfectas and 5 cynergy (4 bruising) now done and just like I experienced with the Veinwave - there is improvement 1-2 weeks after and then the redness goes back to baseline. I've been told that on my next treatment I will have my vessels "individually targeted" ---- seems like a big con to get more money spent.. since I will have the money I am giving the laser ONE last try in a few weeks to see if the power will actually be upped to give some improvement. If not, it's bye-bye laser and on to learning to just cope with this condition.

I hate not being positive as I can see on this forum how many people are putting their faith in the Vbeam and other lasers - and trust me I was really positive before my experience - but I just can't help but feel it's a massive waste of time and money. I haven't seen one convincing before and after photo; all the one's on the clinic websites look so fake or unalike it's really quite laughable. I'll report back when I've had this last treatment but I don't expect to be saying anything has improved.

No before and after 3rd treatment pics uploaded because my face is redder than the pics uploaded after my first treatment

    Hi Dogvan

Your story is exactly the same as mine . All that Bruising and having to take time off each time X 4 .

Why didn't they tell me from the start it wasn't going to work ? . They kept leading me on so Id come back each time .

All's I got to show for it in the end is that patchy look exactly like littlelassie .

    Hello Dave,

For some reason I thought you had suffered Laser damage at some point.
Now, I think I may have got you muddled up with other people.

Based on recent posts it would appear you have suffered the lizard skin type effect, polka dot effect that laser is known for causing.
If that is correct, can I ask why you never pursued IPL treatment to try and smooth out this effect?
    Previous Numerous IPL.
Supplements: Niacinamide, Vit K2, low D3, Moderate Dose Vit C, Iodine, Taurine, Magnesium. Very low dose B's. Low dose zinc (to correct deficiency).
Skin Care: No Cleanser, ZZ cream mixed with Niacinamide gel 4% and LMW HA.

Treating for gut dysbiosis under specialist care. (This is helping).
Previous GAPS diet. Testing tolerance of resistant starch.
Fermented Foods. 2 to 3 days per week, Intermittent fasting -16-18 hours.

8 IPL treatments, 4 Vbeam treatments, and 2 Veinwave treatments. My results- minimal at best and certainly not worth the money spent. The worst part is having high hopes, only to have temporary results.

8 IPL (VPL) treatments, redness is lower but more importantly I see that hot shower, awkward situation redness is much toned upon.
It does work but I doubt you will remove redness completely.
