    Default Hand sanitizer!!!!!

I accidently used hand sanitizer instead of liquid soap. My redness disappeared and my pores shrunk.
I did not use it yesterday and I woke up to a red swollen face. Worse than usual. I do not know why or how or works but it does. Please try it. Connie

What was the brand of hand sanitizer?

They do vary in formulation quite markedly, especially in regard to subsidiary ingredients.

Most hand sanitizer is packed with alcohol, which I would think is the worst thing possible for rosacea. My face is stinging just thinking of it.

    Default Hand sanitizer??????

I know this post sounds crazy. My advise appears to be the worst thing you could do.
The brand name is Uni-blue. The active ingredient is 62 or 82 ethyl alcohol? No other ingredients are listed. I thought the bottle contained liquid soap. I would never put hand sanitizer on my face because I believed it would set my face on FIRE. When I put it on my face the worst part was breathing in the fumes. P.S. Before using the hand sanitizer I used a scrub- Body's Fantasies Vanilla.
What a difference. I thought my symptoms were really not that bad however my skin looks and feels a lot better. The redness has disappeared completely from my lower face along with tightened PORES!!! The hand sanitizer does not leave my face super dry like soap dose.

I received free laser from Dr Mulholland in Toronto Canada because he used me for TV publicity
and education courses for other doctors and nurses. After 3 sessions I noticed a significant difference however the hand sanitizer has had a greater impact in just a few days.

I get my laser treatment in Toronto too. What laser did you get? What settings?

    Did you have bruising?

Maybe you had a mite problem and the alcohol just demolished them and their eggs. I was thinking about doing this to a part of my face, because tea tree is helping me.

Hey can you do an update on your case I am interested.
    -is it still working?
-how do you put the sanitizer on your face, and do you wash immediately?
    - Does your face get red after using it and then the redness resides or does the redness go away as soon as you wash your face?

If I don't get a reply I am guessing you cured your self lol..

I've also had a bizarrely positive experience with hand sanitizer (ethyl alcohol just like yours).
