290EUR is reasonable, but at the end money is not the matter for me if it works.. I didn't even think about money waste when I had 2 treatments without results, i only was thinking about further options for results.
I agree with you. Honestly I would probably pay a ridiculous amount of money for something that worked, don't tell my doctor that ;)

The cost is worth it to get your life back, this crap sucks.

I'm having my first V-beam (perfecta) treatment on Thursday, and it's only $100 a treatment (up to 6 treatments). So I'm pretty happy about that, especially after the doctor said it wasn't the cheapest place in the city.
I have a gig on the 8th of March so I'm hoping that I'll look okay by then.

I hope your bruising heals quickly, antrax

I really see V-beam as my last option to reduce the redness and i'm looking forward to see the outcome of this treatment but i'm also afraid that this last option is not going to work and im stuck with the redness for the rest of my life.

For which condition are you going for Vbeam? if you're going for purpuric 8th of March might be tight but if you get a non purpuric treatment you will be healed in a few days.
edit: I see you are going for vbeam perfecta, perfecta got much shorter down time so i can't imagine you won't be recovered at 8 of March

$100 is quite cheap! where are you from?

Good luck and I hope you will get the results you want to!

    Thanks, antrax.

It's for permanent redness and flushing on my cheeks. The doctor wasn't specific about whether it would be purpuric or not, she just said that the chances of bruising aren't very likely.

Seeing as it's my first treatment I'm assuming the settings won't be overly high?

    I'm from Australia

Indeed, i think your derm is going to start with fairly low settings which can be increased in the following treatments. Please let me know how it went

My bruising from IPL took just under 10 days to completely heal, if that makes you feel any better.

Strange..I have not heard of bruising from IPL before. That must have been an aggressive treatment? V-Beam seems to be the only one where bruising is relatively common (not IPL).

I have permanent red cheeks & nose (not as much as cheeks) which get very red when i flush/blush.

3 days ago I had v beam, i want to post the progress here to help other people who are considering Vbeam.
It was my third vbeam, the first two were non-purpuric and did not lead to results, hopefully will this one.

Don't know the all settings but the power was set at 8joules (so pulse duration must be very low cause it left me bruised, right?). Immediately after every shot it started to bruise, a few hours later it started swelling.

Can't wait to see the results, first need to heal now, i have 7 more days to heal, then school starts again..

If there is demand for more pictures i'll add.
You are so brave to undergo this treatment and I wish you much success and thanks for your photo diary. Your English is just fine too!
