    Default Try PROBIOTICS!

My husband had bad Rosacea. He took a round of antibiotics for an unrelated infection and then took the probiotic Saccharomyces Boulardii MOS made by Jarrow Formulas to help re-establish his gut bacteria. Well, those probiotics almost totally cleared up his Rosacea after 3-4 weeks! He is going to continue taking it. Here is one site you can buy it from: https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Saccha...robiotics&th=1
    Good luck!

My skin does feel quite dry though, but I've been using the Aveeno Colloidal Oatmeal moisturizer in the mornings and that seems to be working out well.

There's been no die-off so far though, at least not in the sense I've been reading about on this forum and the demodex solutions website. Does this all sound normal? Does it sound to you like a demodex mite infestation? Am I doing something wrong not to have had a die-off yet? Should I use more zz cream perhaps?? I started out using it quite conservatively, because my skin is quite sensitive and I was fearing a possible allergic reaction.

I'm partly dreading and partly looking very much forward to a mass die-off, and I'm quite confused at the moment as to why it's not been happening yet. Your help has been invaluable to me in all this, and I'd be very grateful for any advice and experience you'd like to share.

    Thanks in advance.

Can the mod do something about the spam above, please?

It's appearing on other threads too. I've reported it.
I'm recovering from Mirvaso-induced skin damage. Ask me about it if you are too.

Default Update - 12 nights into using the zz cream!

It's been 12 nights since I started using the cream.

On the upside, the redness has subsided by 70% since the start of treatment, my skin feels at least 70-75% smoother, past Ps&Ps are down as is the itchiness, existing bumps which would take weeks to go down have almost disappeared, and my skin which was very flaky and looked angry before has now calmed down. On the downside (if it is so), I'm having localised breakouts of bumps (what causes the bumps btw, what are they??), primarily on my jaw and along the jawline as well as down the sides of my face on the temples, on the bridge of the nose, the sides of the cheeks, also either side of the nose and along the upper lip. These new bumps go down far more quickly, however.

Maybe this is the die-off I've been hoping for, although it seems rather mild to me at the moment compared to what I was preparing myself for. Or maybe it's still early(-ish) days. Thank you very much for your help and encouragement in this respect, Brady and for helping me not to worry about the arrival (or its lack) of a die-off . I've used about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cream so far so perhaps I've not been using too little after all (as I had thought I may have been). I think my skin is getting more used to the zz cream now, although I still use a moisturizer in the mornings before going to work as my face is quite dry otherwise. I'll try not to use any moisturizer later this week as I'll take a couple of days off.

Any comments, please?? Your advice means so much to me. Any dos and don'ts as we move forward? Thank you ever so much. It means so much to me to know I'm not alone in this.

Another question, please. Sorry to burden you with my endless questions!

My younger sister suffers from eczema on her face. Her skin is dry and flaky, very itchy and red. Her eyebrows and scalp also feel itchy and flaky (she has dandruff). She doesn't have rosacea, though. She used to have acne as a teenager but her face has been clear of spots for many years now. She's a little apprehensive trying the zz cream herself as she's afraid she might get Ps&Ps/spots/bumps like me.

I was wondering whether any of you may have any personal experience or knowledge as to whether zz cream might be effective against eczema?? Have you or anyone you know or have heard of used the cream for eczema alone?

She really needs to do something about it fast as her eczema seems to be getting worse.

    Thank you so so much.

    Hello,

I don't believe ZZ cream is an appropriate treatment for eczema.
There are numerous reports of eczema and psoriasis patients eradicating their conditions by dietary and gut flora modification.
Your sister also needs to increase her levels of antioxidants, perhaps with some supplements.

You need to make the same changes.
Demodex is getting far too much attention on this form again. I am not saying it doesn't play a role, but it isn't the sole player.

I too use ZZ cream along with other things, and find it a very useful tool in my toolbox, but for most people, a multi approach is necessary.
    Previous Numerous IPL.
Supplements: Niacinamide, Vit K2, low D3, Moderate Dose Vit C, Iodine, Taurine, Magnesium. Very low dose B's. Low dose zinc (to correct deficiency).
Skin Care: No Cleanser, ZZ cream mixed with Niacinamide gel 4% and LMW HA.

Treating for gut dysbiosis under specialist care. (This is helping).
Previous GAPS diet. Testing tolerance of resistant starch.
Fermented Foods. 2 to 3 days per week, Intermittent fasting -16-18 hours.

I thought I would send you the link for a recovered eczema patient and the advice which led to her recovery.

The Scientist offering the advice has helped me tremendously and is a wealth of information.
Keep in mind however, that not everyone can tolerate all supplements and whilst Prof Paul had no issue with large doses of Vitamin A (from liver in particular), which helped heal his own case of rosacea, it isn't appropriate for everyone else. Flushers in particular generally find supplemental vitamin A can exacerbate flushing. I just thought I would mention that in case you are tempted to try all he recommends for general chronic disease.
