    Default alcohol flushing

    Hi
Just started with rosacea, sun and alcohol being the biggest triggers. Wanted to know how soon most people get a flush with alcohol as mine seems to be the next day rather than when im drinking. Stopped drinking now but would love to enjoy the odd one. Also any tips for reducing flush. Many thanks

I usually start to flush badly within 30 minutes of a drink, but I have worse-than-usual flushing for up to a few days afterwards. Some people have said that antihistamines reduce the flushing from alcohol, but not completely. Most of the time I can tolerate a glass of white wine without flushing.

I posted this article a while ago.
My interest is by-products which trigger flushing. This article is about alcohol induced flushing, which will interest you directly, but at the same time, it may help shed some light on other factors involved in your cases.

Alcohol flush is harmless. What you are experiencing is alcohol rash.
