Default Hi, I'm new to this site

    Hi all,

I'm new to the site and completely understand what ajb is going thru. Ive always had red cheeks an prone to blushing, 5 wks ago a red bumpy rash appeared on my forehead and cheeks and i thought it was an allergy rash, as it didnt get any better no matter what i did I wen to my GP who bought up pics on the pc an said Ive got rocasea. I was perscribed an antibiotic gel 0.75%.

As someone who has ever had any acne even as a teen (37yrs old now) I'm devastated.
As a once very social person I'm finding it very hard to even go shopping or do school runs. I realise this makes me seem very shallow as some people suffer much worse- I promise I'm not,,, just very depressed an dont no which way to turn for help

    Hello Claires750,

    Welcome to the RF site.

I am sure we all identify with the way you are feeling, no you are certainly not shallow a

diagnosis of rosacea is always scary as eveyone's symptoms, progression & treatment

    are so very different.

I would start with reviewing your skincare routine, use only very mild natural products &

don't try too many different things at a time.

Drink plenty of water and try (I know it's almost impossible ) not to stress too much.

You are amongst friends here & people who understand.

Hi Claire and welcome to the RF.

As Judworth has pointed out it is just a matter of finding what works for you and while that may take some time you will be able to get your symptoms under better control.

To begin you may find this link useful.
