Default Wow some great info; now just to find the best of the best (for me of course!!)

I know that different treatments will work for different people, but here is a list of top rosacea treatments from this tread and also a couple I have discovered along the way.

I'm still in the early days of rosacea - still only on one cheek, so I am eager to try and head it off at the pass...

Any idea of which as good and worth pursing?

    Colonic Hydrotherapy:

    Red Light Therapy:

    Skin Brightener:

    Proactiv:

Finacea: (although seemingly not available in the UK): http://rosaceagroup.org/The_Rosacea_...t=13849&page=8

Green tea and Asprin & DMSO: http://www.neopax.com/Artemis/rosacea/index.html

Clay (both to drink and to put on the effected area):

    http://www.squidoo.com/natural_calcium_bentonite_clay
'Scientists suspect that H pylori bacteria may cause Rosacea.
The good news is that clay kills the H pylori bacterium and may therefore help to control or heal flare ups of Rosacea:
Upon the slightest indication of an impending episode of Rosacea, immediately apply hydrated Calcium Bentonite Clay to the affected area.
As with acne, apply the hydrated clay twice a day until the Rosacea is under control or gone.'

*Be careful it is the good stuff (as in the top link) I found another site that said it had caused rosacea - although it could be coincidence.

    Argan Oil:
Amazon.com: Moroccan Argan Oil - 100% Organic -...Amazon.com: Moroccan Argan Oil - 100% Organic -... - been using this for a week and I haven't seen much difference. In fact my face has become redder, but this may be because I went out drinking last night and was in the sun. Looked fine last night though - does it take a day to come on?

    Hey Moore,

I moved your post from the effective treatments sticky as that sticky is meant to be informative where people post what treatments work for them. For questions it is best to start a thread or ask in a thread that is not a sticky usually though some exceptions do exist. This way it keeps the sticky free of conversations and purely for informative purposes. Hope you don't mind.

    Best,
    Melissa

ps I don't have time to read your whole post but after skimming it I would recommend staying away from proactive, the colonic hydrotherapy, the skin brightener, and the clay. I would recommend only starting one new treatment at a time. Red light is helpful for calming inflammation and Finacea for p&p's as well as some inflammation associated with the p&p's.

    Good luck.

    Melissa

Good morning to you 2 gentlemen Sleep OK last night?

Moore, sometimes we have bad days and that often translates to venting or sad forum posts but rest assured that there are many many good days and you will find treatments that provide relief for you. Don't worry. It just may take time. And I have to say that Kobe and Matt do provide some useful advice when they say enjoy every moment because life is now and you need to live in the moment while doing your best to treat your symptoms. Don't wait till your rosacea gets all better to start enjoying and living. Hang in there, everything will be OK.
