    Default heat sensation in eyes

my eyes constantly feel like they're emitting heat, but they arn't red.

it's really uncomfy and i'm just wondering if anyone else experiences this and what they do to help it?

    thx

Sadly YES! I am familar with that horrible sensation, however I also have ocular rosacea!

I find that using thera tears eye drops helps, when I am not flushing things are fine!

    Hey there Tarky and J
I'm moving this to the OR section.
Tarky, definitely try some eyedrops (preferably preserv- free) and see if that helps at all. Also, nice cool compresses may make you feel more comfortable.
When you get a chance read the OR resources thread sticky.

I agree it can be a symptom of ocular rosacea.

I have the same sensation too, heat inside my eyes but they aren't red. The drops dont help, I used Blink, Visine and Refresh. It gets worse at night. Now Im trying black tea rinse's cold from the fridge and kinda helps.

    Hi Jamie,
You don't want to use any eyedrops that end in ine such as visine, murine etc as they contain vasoconstrictors which constrict your blood vessels and after using them for a while you get a rebound effect where the blood vessels will dilate and make the initial problem worse. These drops are meant for very short term use (if at all).

Hope the black tea cool compresses help you!
