Thumbs up Raw honey & Virgin coconut oil.

I have been following Auburns raw honey face mask for a few weeks now, (I have rosacea
and probably, although undiagnosed, mild seb derm).

I have also been using the coconut oil as a facial and body moisturiser for a week.

I just wanted to start a new thread to say "Thank you" to Auburn but also let you know my
    results.

My skin adores the raw honey mask, I do 1-2 hours every other day and the few dry sometimes itchy patches on my cheeks and between my eyebrows have all but gone.

As for the coconut oil, again my skin/face appears to be happy with this (although I am
careful to use a very small amount).

I will change to the oil for my main moisturiser, although will probably use my Liz Earle
one for special occassions as Iike my skin to look really matt.

My skin is alot calmer and less red generally, so all-in-all afrom me!

Just wanted to update for all those considering trying this.

I am about to embark on the same treatment (per Auburn). I have all the tools but started with a honey mask to see how my skin would react. The first time I left it on 15 mins and last night 30 minutes. So far so good but I will only do the mask adding 10 mins every time from now on. I am still scared to the add the coconut oil though.

The oil will not hurt your skin but it is always a good idea to spot-test. You could apply it very thinly on a small area of your neck or behind the ears, for a couple of days.

You shouldn't have to. It's summertime down there now, the beekeepers are busy collecting some marvelous honey.

Here's the National Beekeepers' Association of New Zealand website: http://www.nba.org.nz/. Give them a call, they'll help you find your local beekeepers.

Apply very thinly. If your face looks/feels oily or greasy you've applied too much.
