Been to Baywood for Vbeam like 2.5 years ago. They were nice and all, but then told me they could do hair removal on my legs for me (i was tired of shaving!) Later found out from somewhere else that my hair was way too fine and thin and blond to have laser work and it would be a waste of money. Were they trying to scam me at Baywood then? Not sure....

    Sorry to hear that, snuffleupagus.

I actually had an almost identical experience a couple years ago. I finally got an appointment with a dermatologist for my rosacea. After waiting about half a year, I go to the appointment. The dermatologist walks in, doesn't even look at my face and says "There's nothing I can do about redness. Some people just have red skin".

Then, to top it off, he gave me cream for acne - something which I could care less about - that has the side effect of making your face red. I was out of his office in practically two minutes with about twenty tiny tubes of acne medication I had no need for.

It actually makes me laugh thinking back on it. So ridiculous. Hopefully you can do the same about your experience.

Who knows maybe they just didn't know. I can only say what my experience was.

Well lets add another doctor to the list - the supposed best rosacea doctor here, the best specialist at the Sunnybrook Hospital just said "there's nothing i can do." Funny enough every treatment I have tried pretty much I came up with!!!! Nuts eh?! Some specialist. So he's giving up...i asked about the burning/flushing and what we can do - and he came up with nothing and basically said good luck! What a jerk. I'm feeling so angry, upset, and unsure what to do now since i'm left with nobody to help!

These doctors are a joke. If you say you're a specialist in something I expect you to actually have suggestions and know about things. I came up with mepacrine, i came up with laser, i came up with ivermectin (which he declined), i came up with rifaximin/checking SIBO (which i have yet to start my course of rifaximin beause right now im dealing with intense sinus pain that i want to get rid of before trying rifaximin). He told the stupidest ideas - use steroid eye drops on my face...Nice solution. Good thing i never tried it. THat was his solution - not like i could stay on them for months! Hello, rosacea rebound?! I know way more about the causes of rosacea and possible treatments, as well as new drugs than he ever did. He never even heard of a sulfacetamide/sulfur foam (which i found on my own and he was all like "what's this?! WOW!!!"). If you're a specialist you think you would you be up on this stuff, it's not like sulfacetamide is a brand new thing here!

Anyways, enough ranting. I need to go to a specialist who knows how to treat rosacea, no more going blind with laser treatments either. Looks like i'm off to England!
