Default Anybody have fat loss from V Beam?

    HI guys,

Anybody here have facial fat loss from V Beam?

I've heard of it from IPL, especially old machines used with the shallow filter.

Anybody have it from V Beam?

And if so, is there a common thread as to the cause?

    I appreciate your input.

    -WC

I have read stories that mention various lasers but cant remember anyone in particular mentioning the pdl on this forum. The fraxel seems to be a name I remember but that isnt a pdl.

what does fat loss actually look like? Is it like dents in the skin?

    It can have various appearances.

Rectangular dents in the shape of the crystal ( IPL) or circular marks from a laser.
Etch type lines as if someone got a knife and carved your face.
    Squiggly indented lines.
    Depressions with no defined shape.
The surface skin can take on a crinkly effect as there has been loss of support underneath.
An orange peel type texture, which is different from the 'large pore' texture which comes from inflamed rosacea.
    Pock marks.

I have seen photos where the fat loss is extreme and the face looks emaciated.

Fillers can rectify some of these problems. More so, the depressions.

    Matt,

Santa often brings fat, but he seems to have a location problem. Sending it to unwanted places!
