Default Stress and Depression Influence the Outcome of Rosacea

Here is a good read on how Stress and Derpression influence the outcome of Rosacea. This could explain why or how stress/anxiety is such a big trigger for the vast majority of Rosacea sufferers.

    thanks for the article.

It is such a catch 22 because I know I shouldn't be stressing about my skin and that causes me to stress out even more.

That's true. What I try to do when I am experiencing a flare (which I sort of am right now) is I try and focus on all the good things in my life and just be happy that I am healthy and have my husband who is very loving and supportive and all my friends and family. I also know that the flare will pass and things will get better even if it takes time so I know I will not be in the flare state forever.

So not to minimize any flare that you are dealing with but just try and focus on the positive things so you don't let the flare make you feel badly about yourself. And know that this will pass. Don't let rosacea get the better of you. Ever. You are much more than your rosacea and how your skin is looking

    Hang in there!

    Best wishes,
    Melissa

Then I would suggest you focus on what makes you happy-
a good book, a good movie, music, friends, pets...
I highly recommend adopting a stray cat or dog as they bring unconditional love into your life thereby saving a life or 2 and being able to get and give love unconditionally. It is an amazing gift.

And they don't ever care how you look and if you have rosacea

When stress takes over our lives, it can be damaging to our health. Stress not only weakens our immune system, but it also affects our skinís barrier function...
