Guys, what are your doses you are starting at?

Halfpipe, can you also pm me the info? I am actually going to Sunnybrook next week to the Rosacea Clinic there.

    Thanks a lot!

He gave me 100mg a day. That's the standard for lupus i know. I believe that's what the others started on as well.

Thanks for the luck! I will keep everyone posted. Took my first 100mg pill today - no side effects as of yet. (No nausea, headache, etc.) Also don't notice any increase in redness/flushing yet. I took it over 1 hour ago.

This sounds very promising. Some said it didn't eliminate their permanant redness - my redness is very varible, it's there most of the time, except right after I wash my face or when it's in a cool environment etc, so I don't know if that would be considered permanent or not. Most of the time I look like I got a sunburn with goggles on - would it likely reduce that look?

The redness will improve if you can stop the flushing process altogether. The less you flush the longer the caps have to constrict and repair themselves. If the drug stops you from flushing, then the redness will dissipate over time, could take months, but it will eventually diminish as the caps and veins remain contstricted and have ample time to repair and return back to "normal" functioning.

Well the derm said it helped with redness, but really, you can only know when you try it! I'm hoping for great results, please!!! I hope it's not a bad sign that i didn't have increased flushing today!
