Exclamation This is why we can't use regular cleansers!

I don't use animal tested products. But my face got real bad. On top of my Rosacea I started breaking out like crazy. I use to have flawless skin up until a year and a half ago. Anyway, someone picked me up Nuetrogena pore cleanser/mask. I said "I can't use it, it's animal tested." But i was told to "just use it, it will do wonders for your acne."
Well.. I was punished for using that animal tested product.
This picture was taken 5 minutes after i washed my face after using the product just ONCE.

I couldn't move my face. It felt like my skin was burned off. I cried from pain for an hour. I put Aloe Vera on it, and it did wonders, which is why i still use Aloe Vera. So the bad thing kinda led me to something good (at least it seems to be good so far )

So there you have it. If you have Rosacea, try to stay away from acne products.

Oh, and we got our money back from that product

Aye, looks like some kind of allergic reaction.

I didn't say it was Rosacea. That's what happened to my face AFTER i washed it with that cleanser. It's a chemical burn from a simple Nuetrogena face wash.

    Where all here to help,

I'm so sorry Ur skin went like that redness always is a bummer

Try not to worry it does seem like you've had a reaction the best thing u can do is just to leave Ur face alone no cosmetics no touching etc just try and let it heal,

Things like this are horrible i fell for u,

If Ur skin is still flaring after three days consult a doctor,

Then throw away that horrible stuff u put on your face,

    kind regards matt

    Hi Luna,
I am sorry you had this reaction.
My face is super sensitive also and can flare at any time like that with a new product. I am glad the aloe helped in calming it down. Sometimes I try a patch test first but that isn't always accurate as the area of face you try it on may not react the same when you apply to your whole face but it is worth a try at least.

btw I agree with you about animal tested products. Poor little guys
What products do you use that you like and recommend?

    Best wishes,
    Melissa

    Luna,

Sorry about what happened. I'm not a fan of Neutrogena either, mostly because they use fragrance in all of their products which is a known irritant for some people.

I know you were being kind of jokey about the animal testing, but something to know is that while a product itself may not have been tested on animals, the ingredients in it were.

Hope your skin is doing better now.

I wasn't joking about the animals testing. I haven't been using them for years. So I'm almost a pro at avoiding them.

Now i only wash my face when i need to wash make up off. I use CeraVe moisturizing face wash. Any other time i just splash my face with cool water. I also wear cool Aloe Vera at night and any other time im just hanging around the house. And if i need it, i put on CeraVe lotion. I have oily yet flaky red skin, and this so far is helping. It's kinda helping with my acne too i think.

    I use CeraVe also.
I use the cream as well as the lotion as my face is dry.
    It is soothing/calming

Your skin looks great otherwise,.. well it still does, just really bizarre redness/flushing.

Mine does the same with some of those acne products, but I never ever get it to look like that on my forehead, around my eyes or chin
