Default how many have noticed actual vision changes?

    Hi all

Since my eye odd eye sensations started, I have noticed that my once better than average vision has been slowing diminishing. Now I need reading glasses to read the computer and read a book. It's very depressing. I went to the eye doc to have my vision checked when I first noticed it and he said he didn't see much wrong. He gave me a prescription for the lowest strength (.25) available, and that was only for one eye.

I really experience my eyesight as changing and I know it's not my imagination. I was wondering if anyone else has been going through the same thing.

I just read on another forum that sometimes people do have vision problems stemming from the cornea. The thing is those people tend to have a lot of redness and inflammation, which I don't have. I tend to have bouts with foreign object sensations and light flaking in the corners of my eyes.

It looks like the big thing to work on is keeping systemic inflammation as low as possible. Not easy. Now I wonder if this will help reverse the problem?

    Hi sensi,

It sounds as if your eyes are dry. That is the hallmark symptom of dry eye. Foreign body sensation. I would suggest using preservative free rewetting drops throughout the day. The flaking at your lid margins may be blepharitis and can be helped by warm compresses, lid scrubs and lid massage (if necessary).

I don't know if you have this link but it is very helpful if you have not yet read it.

    Default regarding eye irritation

I was having some eye irritation pre-rosacea (I think it was astigmatism) and this past spring I switched to Oasys contact lenses and Aquify lens solution, and I haven't had a problem since... of course this would just be advice for those with astigmatism or dry eyes, but it's worked great for me. I also had a friend who did not switch contact lenses (Oasys run a little spendy) but just switched to the Aquify solution, and saw a vast improvement in his eye dryness also.

That is very rare, very unlikely.
It could happen if your eyes develop a keratitis, corneal ulcers and scarring etc but if you treat any ocular problems that is unlikely to occur.
