Well everyone has red veins in there eye. I guess it depends on a few different things but I am afraid this is not an area I know much about.

Is this the only issue with your eyes or do you have other symptoms?

That really is not enough info to go on as to whether you have ocular rosacea or not. Do you have any dry eye symptoms? Any discharge, tearing, burning, grittiness?

Sounds like blepharitis/mgd/ocular rosacea. See an opthamologist for a specific diagnosis. In the meantime, search some of the threads in the ocular rosacea section for information on treatment options. The basics are hot compresses, lid massages, lid hygiene, and lubricating eyedrops. If you have a Rx for antibiotics for your rosacea they should help your eyes too. Try and resist the temptation to use vasoconstricting eyedrops (e.g., visine) because of the rebound effect - they're not good for your eyes in general. Also you should stop wearing contacts (if applicable). You might also want to check out www.dryeyezone.com for more specific eye-related questions.

You may not need to stop wearing contact lenses (if you do wear them that is LOL). There are lots of contact lenses on the market that you can wear comfortably even with ocular rosacea. That is something you should discuss with your doctor preferably someone who has a good knowledge base of all the lenses on the market.

    Best wishes,
    Melissa

    ps don't be stressed me44.
It is very manageable and just takes some time to get the routine set up to control your symptoms regarding your eyes

Really Melissa? I would imagine that any contacts would affect the eyes at least somewhat - although i don't wear contacts myself.

    Really
There are so many different contact lenses on the market made of so many different materials. I wear daily disposable contact lenses and I never even feel them in my eyes. In fact some contact lenses may help prevent your tear film from drying out as fast depending on your issues. So there is good news for those of us who wear contact lenses
