Default help - Feels like lint is falling on eyelids

I'm glad I found this forum. I have been having a problem with feeling like very small pieces of lint are falling on my eyelids. It's worse when I have glasses on. Also, it seems to get worse if I have had milk products.

I was wondering is this a possible symptom of ocular rosacea. My skin is very sensitive but I don't have red flushing.

    Thanks for any help.

sensi, do you mean you feel like you have something in your eye or your eyelashes tickle?

Unfortunately both. Sometimes it feels like there's something in my eyes (usually just one). The problem always starts with the feeling like lint particles (kind of like very thin threads of yarn) are caught in my eyelashes. Then it seems to get in my eye. There's no environmental reason I can come up with to cause it that's why I'm looking in other directions.

I'm sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, ocular rosacea can cause dryness, grittiness, redness, inflammation, foreign body sensations, itching, light sensitivity, etc. Sounds to me like you're experiencing foreign body sensation and itching. I suggest you see an opthamologist asap. In the meantime, begin applying hot compresses 2-4X/day (15 min) along with lid massages and lid cleansing. Hopefully you find some relief!

It's kind of funny because I know what you mean about the feeling that lint is falling on your eyelids. I've had that occasionally and it feels like tiny twitches or like something is moving on them. Must be itching like Brighteyes said. Hopefully you can get in soon to see an opthalmologist.
