    Thankyou!

Does the general redness ever subside in your opinion?

I still get a 'look of a flush' without the flush sometimes..............

Hi - I've mentioned before that I suffer from extremely painful and severe facial flushing. Because of the severity, I am primarily homebound. So, it occurred to one of my drs that my Vitamin D levels may be low, since I'm not outside like a normal person would be. When tested, my D level was 8. Normal is between 30 and 100.

Since that time, about 3 years, I have been taking 50,000 iu twice a week. It's a prescription, but not very costly - only $10 for a 3 month supply. And the good news is that my D levels remain in the upper tier when tested.

I think taking Vitamin D has helped my bones (I was diagnosed with osteopenia, a step before osteoporosis), and I think it has helped my overall health, but I don't think it has helped my flushing or pain.

    Hope this information is helpful.

    Hi Judworth,

Yes, the general redness went away for me. So did the flushing, burning, swelling and P&Ps. It will take time, however...
