Default Help Nose getting more reactive

    Hi all
I have been very happy with red light therapy but my nose seems not to like it so much. Anyone else have nose problems that get a little worse with the therapy? Should I continue with it or give it up?
    Thanks in advance
    Queta

How long have you been using the unit? how long per day?
if your nose specifically gets irritated isn't that a sign of Rhinophyma? I don't have that myself so I wouldn't know so you should find out.

If you have only just got your unit you want to take things slowly at first and then gradually increase your expposure time.

    Hi Queta,

My nose gets red and a bit swollen whenever I am hot and/or flushed. When you are doing the RLT are you staying cool? If heat is a trigger that is key. Sometimes when I am doing the RLT if I feel myself getting warm or starting a flush I will stop and continue later when I am not feeling a flush coming on. At other times I will use a little fan setup that my husband made for me to use in conjunction with the RLT unit and it helps me.

If you feel yourself becoming red and continue the RLT what happens to the redness? Does it get worse? If it does stop and try and get your nose unflushed. However, sometimes when I am flushed and I start the RLT it helps. Not all the time but sometimes. So, I say try and see what happens. If it is getting worse during a session stop and let your flush dissipate and continue at another time.

    HTH and good luck!
    Melissa

    Default Thanks for the advice

Thank you to those who responded to my question. I do have rhinophyma but red light therapy has been a Godsend for me. I am now experimenting with covering up my nose on most days when using the light but then exposing it for brief times. I love my red light!
