    Default Looking for a dermatologist

    Hi,
I'm looking for a dematologist in central or south east London.
    Could anyone recommend one?
I have a skin condition and I am not sure if it is seb derm or the dreaded Rosacea or, if I'm really lucky, a combination of the two.
I have had it for a year and it is very gradually getting worse and my doctor is very flippant.
So, if anyone could point me in the right direction. I would be most grateful.
    Cheers,
    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

Dr Chu is at Hammersmith hospital and he is really excellent. There are a number of members here who go to him and just love him. I am not sure where that is though in relation to you but if you can I would definitely try and make an appt with him. I believe the waiting list is long so try and get yourself on the list if you can.

You might want to post in the Europe section of the board as you may get more answers there.

Also, check out this link that you will find useful.

Dr Chu is a good man to see. You will need to get a referral from your doctor (or derm). I believe the waiting list to go privately is about 6 months

    Thanks for quick response.
He must be good if his waiting list is 6 months.
Do you have a contact address, link, etc.

Adrian I did a search and I am not sure if this is still the number but the contact number that ws listed for Hammersmith Hospital was 0181 3833 113

That's all I could get but woudn't your GP know how to refer you to Dr Tony Chu at Hammersmith hospital if you asked him/her?

    Good luck!
    Melissa

Thanks Melissa, you're very kind. I did actually do the same thing.
I must say that you look very good on your Rosacea, if that isn't a stupid thing to say.
I seem to make mine worse (whatever it is). It wasn't all that bad. You couldn't really notice it but since i've been using primrose oil and moisturising it, it seems to have got worse. I now have a red blotch on the left side of my face which is noticeable but I'm still sure that it's not that bad. So I am going to leave my skin to it's own devices for a while and see what happens.
Thanks for welcoming me to the forum and thanks for info.
    Cheers,
    Adrian

Many people do not get on with things considered okay by the majority. This link should point you in the right direction:

Thanks. I have had a look at that.
This site is also very good and this article in particular is very poignant for me.
