So I went to CVS and they suggested Cortaid, which has 1% Hydrocortisone. It was also the only one that had on the box that it helped treat Seb Derm. How often should I use this? I should mention that im going on 4 days now and the area on the side of my nose is still red , however it is alot better than day 1. How long should it be before i return to normal?

If you use it twice a day, sparingly, for a week, you should notice significant improvement.

Note that this doesn't mean you'll be "back to normal" because Seb Derm is chronic, and it will come back. Maintenance therapy is key.

    Best luck.

You should use it as little as possible. Some people get b y using it 1-2x/week. I have used it daily on occasion for weeks. Still use it as little as possible.

It may be that your seb derm just returns when you stop. I would not advise long term use of it-no longer than 5-7 days at a time. But then you shouldnt keep reusing it. I would leave it off for a few months.

    Hi and welcome.
Check out the pyratine 6 thread. SOme people have had success with this lotion/vream for reducing redness.
