So even though that's been said a dozen times on this thread already, you thought you'd bring it up like a decade after I posted that?

No need to be mean, Steve. I am brand new to the forums so all the threads are completely new to me. Most forums would rather someone continue a helpful thread, rather than start a new one with the same conversation.

I wasn't trying to step on your toes. A lot of people want (as I do) to believe there is a cure, that this treatment or the next is 'the one' that will cure us all.

I was trying to empathize with you, meaning.... I said what I did with a heavy heart, wishing VERY much that it were true, that how nice it would be to have a cure at last.

My apologies if I offended you in some way. I certainly didn't mean to.

    Talking Seborrheic Dermatitus cure.

Hi everyone, I have suffered from Seborrheic Dermatitus for years on my scalp and face. I went to the doctors and hospitals for years and nothing would take it away. I have found a cure for mine, well it's not a cure because if I stopped the treatment it would come back. But what I have found helps especially on the face is that once you have washed and dried your face is to apply a thick layer head and shoulders conditioner and let it soak in. It not only moisturises your skin but it gets rid of the dermatitus. Once you have put it on you can leave it on until you next wash. It doesn't affect your skin in any way or make it red and it gives your skin a nice shine. Honestly I have been so depresses over the years and this is the only thing that has worked. You can even leave the conditioner on your scalp and it doe's the same thing. I wouldn't use the head and shoulders shampoo as I think this would dry your skin out to much. If I can help just one person with this I will be very happy so let me know if it works. Bye for now.

I don't have seb derm but came across the following information when I was researching uses of topical vitamin D.

    Scroll down to case 4.

No doubt this study will provide hope for some seb derm sufferers.
On the downside, I have read that topical vitamin D has caused hyperpigmentation in some psoriasis sufferers.

Another way to dose the body with vitamin D is to take it orally, of course. This shouldn't cause the latter problem. ( Hopefully, as I am taking it! ).

I know this thread is about a cure and the above treatment isn't a cure, but nevertheless, it seemed a good place to post about it.
