Default UK - Bupa insurance for IPL??

    Hi,

I am based in the UK am considering starting a course of IPL treatment for my mild rosacea. I have BUPA insurance through work and was wondering if there is any chance they would cover all or part of the cost of treatment. The clinic I am going to is a private one in London. If anyone has any experience of getting IPL treatment covered by BUPA I would be very grateful to hear from you.

    Thanks,
    Andy

Did you find out if it covers it?

I would expect not, as IPL is considered cosmetic, not medical.

    I hope I'm wrong.
I'm recovering from Mirvaso-induced skin damage. Ask me about it if you are too.

T-Shirt: "Laser skin treatment. That's what it is if you're wondering. Yes, it hurt."

    Hi there,

I got V beams on Bupa for years until eventually I was denied because the condition wasn't going into remission. I think I got it in batches of 4 and ended up securing about 12 treatments. I got them done for the Lister Hospital in Chelsea. Hope that helps!
