Default Does Finacea effectively treat overall/diffuse redness?

On their website, it does say that it treats p&ps as well as redness. I have no p&ps, just permanent redness on mainly my cheeks, a bit of my forehead and my chin.

I was wondering, does anyone who does not have p&ps and only redness use this prescription? If yes, what are your results?

    Thanks,
    Bridget

I only use mine when I have P&P outbreaks.

If I knew it would work for redness, I'd put it on my nose everynight!

    I wish you luck,
    Ann

I do not have P&Ps, only redness, and it did not help me.

When I use it, it seems like it helps the redness but I wouldn't solely depend on it. I'm also taking oracea, so the combination together could be diffusing it. But when I was taking Oracea alone it seemed like it was making the redness worse....so I think the Finacea is my x-factor...so far so good....couple weeks in and I look good.....skin is pretty tight though, but moisturizer helps that well.

So yeah, for me Finacea seems to be helping the redness alot. Good luck!

mystykoekaki--how long have you been taking oracea/finacea? 7 weeks for me.

I notice the tightness, too... Has oracea caused dryness overall? my skin seems to lightly peel and shed. I guess this is normal. I take 40mg once a day. Hard to say what is helping, if anything.

    any tips/suggestions?

Interesting, sounds like we are on the same regimen. Yes, I take the 40mg Oracea per day along with the Financea at night. I would say it's been maybe 3 weeks with the combo at most, it has helped but it hasn't gotten any better in the past few days, I switched moisturizer to a shea butter lotion, and that has made the tightness dissapear. I'm suppose to see the doctor in a few weeks, will be interesting to see what she thinks about keeping me on it or switching me off to something else.

I wish I could get my face smooth, for some reason my facial texture looks very rugged, and I don't even have any bumps....must be the damn accutane I was taking......anyways....keep me posted HRH
