I agree with you. I am so used to this layout/format that I have trouble with any other, I really struggle navigating my way around the RSG messageboard.

I am intrigued as to the benefits of the invision board thing.

I will take a serious look at getting new software for the forum.

Currently we use phpBB 2.x which is old, but it is the most popular and customise(d/able) forum software there is. There is a new version still at the release candidate stage but the rosacea support forum uses the default install so there is good incentive to move to another software package to differentiate and between the two forums.

I am going to take a serious look at invision and vBulletin and a few others and make the change in the next few days.

Please dont change things too drastically. I like the layout of this forum and the sub sections. Although it may look abit old the format works really well.

The n support forums newer version refuses to work properly on my apple mac (layout displays funny/cant read PM as they appear on top of each other/never get reply notifications) so please spare a thought for us 'alternative' users.

    Hi Warren,

I do like our format and I agree with Sarah.
I understand people wanting to improve some aspects
but overall I think it works very well.

I also think the new RSG forum is great but I do have some trouble navigating around. I think this setup is easier to use.

Anyway, thanks for all the work you put into this forum and I just wanted to say how great it is now.

    Melissa

what are the features of the invision board?

there are 100s of mods available for phpbb, im sure many of the invision features would be available in some form. Plus its freeee.

    support the open source community!

I am going to wait 3-6 months and then decide what to do. This means there won't be any sudden changes. I will keep everyone informed and let everyone participate in any decision making processes.
