We shall see if other media outlets pick up on this news and it becomes big-time news or not. It does sound hopeful though. We shall see I guess. All I know is we could all use a break. It's been a long fight.

Wow, this has already been noted in Wikipedia. That was fast.

What sucks is that I can't access the full text through the university yet.

So besides tetracycline, what else is there that can affect cathelicidin proteins?

Does this help explain the efficacy of various treatments we've seen, without knowing why they were working?

Edit: Melanotan increases cAMP levels (cAMP is cathelicidin, I think.) Does this explain anything? My face has looked great ever since the M2.

Interesting read, but is this new information? If you do a google search on "cathelicidin" +rosacea it will give you a lot of hits.

If a "cure" was to be found for Rosacea it would be really fantastic. Given the billion dollars of revenue a cure for rosacea would generate I'm amazed that it's not been given top priority..

Also, how long would the process to make a possible "cure" last? (taken into account that the Sansrosa trials has gone on for a good 3+ years now already?)

are there certain steps of the process that cant be shortened no matter how much money is put into the testing?
