    Hello everyone
    >
    > My name is Nishmi Gunasingam and I am writing on behalf of Dr
    Margot
    > Whitfeld, Head of Dermatology at St Vincents Hospital. We are
    > undertaking a research project on Rosacea over the next months
    (August
    > until the end of the year) in which we aim to identify the
    > pathophysiology of rosacea, which I am sure you all know is uknown!
    >
    > In this project we are proposing that the cause of the disease
    maybe a
    > bacterial one and thus we are specifically looking at patients
    that
    > have papulopustular rosacea.
    >
    > Rosacea is a difficult illness to live with so this research that
    is
    > being done at St Vincents Hospital and the Skin and Cancer
    Foundation
    > is very exciting and if not inspiring for any sort of breakthrough.
    >
    > We need to recruit as many patients as possible - the more
    patients
    > we recruit the more reliable our study will be. David Pascoe has
    been
    > very kind in enabling me to post up the recruitment poster for all
    of
    > you to have a look at (in the FILES section). Please have a look
    at
    > it, and feel free to give me a call if you have any queries in
    regards
    > to our project.
    >
    > Your help in participating in this study would be priceless - it
    would
    > only require a short period of time at St Vincents Hospital. We
    would
    > require you to fill out a few questionnaires which are very simple
    and
    > then we would take the swabs, so it wouldn't take too long. The
    > hospital is in a convenient location in Darlinghurst and there is
    good
    > transportation to the hospital.
    >
    > For those that are interested in participating in the study and

Thanks for posting this Tricia. David P did post it in the Forum here:

I do hope that folks who live in or around Sydney participate in the study. If I lived closer, I would jump on board.

If only I didn't live two states away, I would definitely jump on board for this study. I hope they get enough willing participants.
