Try not to use ice, just a cold flannel if things get tough. I also hate the side effect of weight gain....hate this horrid skin condition. Hopefully things will improve for you soon.

Don’t have a burning mouth or tongue but I do get the spilt corners, drives me nuts, carry Vaseline around with me now. Try non fluoride toothpaste 😩
Andrew,
Have you contacted Weezer on this forum I believe he had the same diagnosis. Symptoms occurred after a course of antibiotics. It’s quite a rare subtype.
Has anybody tried this for SD, has rave reviews- but then again don’t they all.
I tried hrt for three months, didn’t make my symptoms worse or better. Be careful as some hrt preparations are not always hair friendly.
Poor you it must be awful.
You say blood test come up normal. What have they tested you for and have you had allergy testing ?
Ooh thank you so much for responding. All rational thinking goes straight out of the window when you have this darn condition...makes me paranoid.

Citalopram, makes me sleep like a baby, I take it at night. I had side effects for the first couple of weeks, dizzy spells, nausea, but I persisted and it really helps.

Background redness, I’m afraid not, I’ve been left with...
Sounds like typical type 1 Rosacea, try taking an antihistamine every morning, citropram at night and propranolol for social occasions. Oh and sunscreen if your skin can tolerate it.
Very interesting, I used a cold sore cream on a spot once by mistake, I was worried but it cleared the spot up a treat.
Hi
Have you had skin patch testing, it’s worth doing.
I find that I need to remove the flakes with a flannel, I use simple make up remover and then some vanicream. Sunscreen meh...haven’t...
Gee whiz, yes the corners of my mouth are cracked and I have what looks like an excema moustache, a little bit of Vaseline helps. I went on itraconazole for two weeks and everything cleared up,...
Hi,
I’ve seen three dermatologist in the uk and only one suggested or does lasers. His name is Prof Chu and he has a private practice in Chiswick, very knowledgeable about Rosacea.
I also use this product, it’s great, covers really well and has spf that my skin can tolerate. The founder has Rosacea so a lot of their products are geared towards us.
Tom,
Thank you so much for helping so many of us on this forum.
Hi Tom,
I started having scaly patches on my skin, my dermatologist put me on Itraconazole for two weeks and it worked a treat, needless to say it’s back. I’m thinking of body washing in head and...
I’m so happy to hear this, I have the same subtype so it’s music to my very itchy ears. My vascular flare up caused my pores to swell and I have orange peel texture, inflamed skin. I hope your...

I 100 per cent agree with you, autoimmune vascular response. How can we be normal one day and then our skin on fire the next.
