Do you think you're having rebound redness from Mirvaso? It's very common.

I do better with plant-based diets that are dairy and gluten free and very low in refined sugar or carbohydrates. The paleo/low-carb diets that are trendy right now never worked for me.
Got it- thanks for the reply! Sounds like our symptoms are a little different then, though I do get the evening flushing and the red ears as well. I've found the less I eat in the evening better, but...
Sorry to hear your results are just average so far- hopefully they take a turn for the better. Is flushing your only symptom or do you get facial swelling/edema as well?
Beta-blockers haven't really worked for me either. I seem to do much better on anti-inflammatory meds, specifically doxycycline and hydroxychloroquine.
Thanks Brady!
That's super informative, thanks for this! I'll be really interested to hear how your trial with low-dose accutane goes.
I'm going to check out more about Morbihan's as it does seem related- I've...
That's really interesting that the doxycycline is helping you- I started on 50 mg/day last Thursday and it's too early to really report back, but I actually felt like it helped from the first day I...
How long were you on the azithromycin for? Have you tried going back on an antibiotic?
Thanks, I'm crossing my fingers with the LDN!
I am planning on staying on the mirtazapine and hydroxychloroquine indefinitely and I'm adding meds to see if I can increase my results. The mirt. and...
Yes, there is hope. Just keep trying things. Hydroxychloroquine, mirtazapine, and intermittent fasting (i.e. not eating after 6pm each day until breakfast the next morning) have helped me the most,...
Thanks for keeping us updated. I haven't tried that yet so I'll be interested to see how it works out for you.
Ok, well I'm on antidepressants and I'm still living a "real" life, whatever that means.
Also, that wasn't the only possible solution I suggested to you. You are sounding a little resistant to help,...
I was very, very close to suicide a little over a year ago due to neurogenic rosacea, so I know what you're feeling. There are medications that can help- what have you tried so far? Mirtazapine and...
That's fascinating. Thank you for sharing your results. I have similar symptoms to you (flushing/swelling on nose/cheeks and laying down is a trigger) so I'll consider trying this in the future.
Pretty good! I'd say it helped my flushing/residual swelling at least 30%, maybe more. Heat is my worst trigger so with cooler weather coming I might have more improvement.
I started duloxetine...
If it's only been 8 days I think there's still hope it'll calm down- treat your skin as gently as possible for now and see if it heals up. Did you do the treatment in a dermatologist's office? The...
Hi Dave- I've been there so I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. Last summer I was VERY close to suicide due to a sudden onset of debilitating facial flushing. It's been less than a year...
Ah, just saw this- thanks for reporting back! Good to know that the aspirin has been working for you. I haven't really given that a try yet.
It's been helping. I'm about 3 months in. The dose I'm taking is a little less than what I've seen recommended for my weight so I may ask my doctor to bump up my dosage at some point. It's certainly...
How are you getting along with this?
Hi Molly,
Thanks for sharing- I'll be interested to hear how you get on. I'm currently in the middle of trialing another drug (hydroxychloroquine) but I am considering trying Protopic as well since...
Saying that "western medicine has nothing to offer" is a ridiculous claim.
Organic/"natural" ingredients are not always better for skin than synthetic/chemical ingredients. Many natural ingredients...
There is no cure to rosacea and what you're doing is nothing novel.
I think a lot of people on here have the same symptoms and agree they seem to be related to rosacea but not the "typical" case. The evening flush could be a lot of things- but in general people's...
